The KDS flymentor is a CCD camera assisted flight stabilization system for RC Helicopters. The flymentor consists of 3 components, the mixer, 3 axis gyro, and CCD camera.
Mixer
The mixer controls the cyclic and rudder servos after processing data received from the ccd camera and gyro.
CCD Camera
The CCD camera is used for positioning. The camera takes pictures of the ground and sends the information to the mixer to process.
3 Axis Gyro
The 3 axis gyro can sense changes in X, Y, and Z axis and sends the data to the mixer for processing. It can sense forward, backward, left roll, right roll, and tail position changes.
Please Note: Currently the software only works in Windows XP. It will not work on Vista or Windows 7. If you do not have XP or would like to make adjustments in the field, you can also purchase the flymentor programming card sold separately.
